Traditional Upholstery

Traditional upholstery involves materials such as hessian, horse hair and cotton felt. It is generally found on antique frames which predate 1950. Restoring a traditional piece I will use materials appropriate for the frame to create a shape that is fitting for the era. If budget is a concern, sympathetic alternatives can be suggested

Modern Upholstery involves materials such as foam, poly wadding and modern spring units. Furniture from the 1950's onward will usually have foundations constructed from these materials. If you prefer not to use petrochemical materials, planet friendly alternatives can be suggested, too.
